ROOTS.

Roots is a personal project conducted in my local London hairdresser ‘Hair Guru’. Oriented around black hair salons; this project explores their significance and importance within the black British community. Venturing into the connection between afro-hair with identity, empowerment, expression, and creativity. Seeking to display the community and family-like environment that resides within black hairdressers, and how these hairdressers are a centerpiece within these communities. It was a pleasure working alongside the hairdressing team and clients.
